On 17th January, the first 36000m³ dual-fuel LEG carrier "BRILLIANT FUTURE" built by YAMIC for Norwegian shipowner departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.

Wish her a safe voyage with full load and a global reputation.

The "BRILLIANT FUTURE" successfully completed her sea trial on December 11, 2024, with all performance indicators meeting the standards. This vessel has been optimized in design, with a compact and flexible structure, strong port adaptability, and maximum utilization of cargo space. It is equipped with three large dome-head type-C cargo tanks, which increases the cargo loading capacity by about 12%. Equipped with an advanced dual-fuel main engine with a high-efficiency CPP propeller and a full-suspension twisted rudder, it provides excellent propulsion efficiency while ensuring low emission and environmental performance.

On the morning of January 14th, YAMIC held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. Ms. Silvia Pires Migueles, the Godmother, Mr. Andreas Reklev, COO of Ocean Yield, Mr. Hardi Schuck, CEO of Braskem Trading & Shipping, Mr. Ulrich Adami, Managing Director of Hartmann, Mr. Long Ye Fei, Area Manager of Region Greater China, Ms. Yan Xiaolin, Area Manager of North China of DNV, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of YZJ Group and CEO of YAMIC, Mr. Koji Tamura, COO of YAMIC, Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, CFO of YAMIC, Mr. Chen Guoqiang, Vice President of YAMIC, Mr. Shinichi Nakao, Assistant to the General Manager of YAMIC, Mr. Yang Lifeng, Assistant to the General Manager of YAMIC, as well as representatives from all cooperation parties and employees, attended the naming ceremony.

Mr. Song Shuming delivered a speech on behalf of YAMIC:

As we usher in the New Year 2025, YAMIC is entering its sixth year of production. Since our establishment, we have set a long-term vision to become one of the world’s most competitive clean energy shipbuilding yards. With the support of everyone here, we are proud to celebrate today’s naming and delivery ceremony of YAMIC’s first LEG carrier. She is also the first vessel we have delivered this year and marks the 62nd vessel delivered by YAMIC. It’s a remarkable milestone for us. I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Charterer Braskem Ms. Silvia, Mr. Hardi and Buyer Ocean Yield Mr. Andreas. We are extremely honored to have established mutually beneficial business relationships with these two world-class companies together, based on the deep trust of Hartmann’s Captain Ulrich Adami. We sincerely thank you for your recognition and encouragement of YAMIC. Additionally, my sincere thanks extend to Captain Adami, Mr. Ionut Cornea, Mr. Long Ye Fei, and the entire Hartmann team for their consistent and reliable support. Furthermore, we express our gratitude to DNV for their diligent efforts and expert guidance. The “BRILLIANT FUTURE” is not just a marvel of engineering, she is the result of collaboration, vision, and hard work from the dedicated teams at YAMIC and Hartmann. Each rivet, each panel, each decision reflects the combined efforts of countless individuals working toward a common goal.

Subsequently, the godmother named the new vessel with the champagne. Firecrackers and fireworks went off, whistles sounded, dragons and lions danced together. Wish the new vessel and its crews to sail safely, bringing good luck and prosperity to the buyers and charterers and honor to DNV and YAMIC.

On January 14th, “BRILLIANT FUTURE” completed the signing ceremony.
