At noon on January 15, an 82,000DWT bulk carrier “YANGZE 26” built by YAMIC for YZJ Shipbuilding Group Shipping Center sailed from the wharf of YAMIC for its maiden voyage and went into operation.

On January 10, General Manager of YZJ Shipbuilding Group. Shipping Center, Mr. Fei Dongjing; Fleet Manger, Mr. Liu Qinggong; Business Manager, Mr. Chen Chi; Deputy Fleet Manager, Mr. Wang Haihong, Chief Engineer, Mr. Zhao Shiming; Deputy General Manager of the YZJ Group and General Manager of YAMIC, Mr. Song Shuming; CFO of YAMIC, Mr. Junichi Ueyama, COO of YAMIC, Mr. Koji Tamura, Vice GM of YAMIC, Mr. Chen Guoqiang; Assistant of GM of YAMIC, Mr. Shinichi Nakao and other representatives attended the signing ceremony.

On December 8th, 2023, YAMIC and YZJ Shipbuilding Group Shipping Center jointly held a grand naming ceremony for the new vessel. 

Ms. Zhu Yanting named the new vessel "YANGZE 26" and tossed a champagne bottle in a toast.

The guests took photos with the new Vessel, visited on board, and wished the new Vessel to have smooth sailing and full load for every voyage, bringing safety to the crew and wealth and honor to the shipowner and cooperation parties.

"YANGZE 26" is the 4th 82,000 DWT Bulk Carriers that YAMIC has built for YZJ Shipping Center, built in accordance with the rules and regulations of LR, cut the first plate on March 20, 2023, successfully completed the sea trial on December 21, signed for delivery on January 11, 2024, the whole construction period of vessel was about 9 months. The vessel was successfully built and completed with the full cooperation among JBL, the site office of owner, the site office of Class LR, and all the staff of YAMIC.
